Black Jack Davie- unknown MS version from North Carolina

Black Jack Davie a-singin' through the woods,
He sang so loud and merrily;
He charmed the heart of a pretty little maid,
He charmed the heart of a lady,
He charmed the heart of a lady.

"How old are you my pretty little maid,
How old are you my honey?"
She smiled so sweet with a tee-hee-hee,
"I'll be sixteen a Sunday,
I'll be sixteen a Sunday."

If you will come and go with me,
Come go with me my honey,
We'll go away to the deep blue sea
And you'll never want for money,
And you'll never want  for money.

She put on her Sunday shoes,
All made of Spanish leather,
He put on his old cork boots,
And they both rode off together,
And they both rode off together.

When the landlord came a-ridin' in,
Enquirin' for his lady;
One of the maids then answered him:
"She gone with Black Jack Davie,
She gone with Black Jack Davie."

"Go saddle up my old grey mare,
And bring to me my derby,
I'll ride East and I'll ride West,
Till I overtake my lady,
Till I overtake my lady."
