NOTES: "Days of Glory" is a southern gospel song of unknown origin that Homeland Harmony Quartet recorded on Bibletone 6030.  The Homeland Harmony Quartet were previously known as The Church of God Quartet of the Tremont Avenue Church of God in Greenville, South Carolina with Conner Hall.

The Homeland Harmony Quartet were founded in 1935. The original lineup of the quartet was Otis McCoy, Doyle Blackwood, Fred C. Maples, and B.C. Robinson. The group had lasting ties to the Church of God and went through more than fifty line-up changes in a career that spanned thirty years.

In 1943, tenor Connor Hall joined the quartet. He would remain with the group until his death in 1992. Other notables to sing with the group include basses Big Jim Waits and Johnny Atkinson, Lee Roy Abernathy and baritone James McCoy. The line-up of Hall, Abernathy, J. McCoy, Shorty Bradford, and A.D.Soward that formed in 1947 is widely considered to have been a seminal influence on both pop and further gospel musical stylings.

DAYS OF GLORY- Homeland Harmony Quartet

VERSE: In the bible they say,
The time is coming for us today
We're gonna think of the things we have done
The doors will open up above
To see the ones that we hope and love
When the Lord takes this world for His own.

If you'll only confess
You'll know the meaning of happiness
Every day down here will be joy
When he calls you up on high
You know the soul will never die
It's a promise made long ago

CHORUS: Days of glory
They're coming bye and bye
That's what we've been waiting for
When we gather
Up yonder in the sky
You'll be there, I'll be there, on that judgement day.

Oh the heavens will ring
For every sinner from tramp to king,
Who turn away from their wicked sinfilled lives.
For every thing down here below
Will be forgotten when we go
To that land that we've dreamed of so long.
