56. Go Bear Your Burden in the Heat of the Day
A. A. Whitman. Matt. 20: 12. L. M

1 Through heat and cold Christ had to go,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day;
To regulate the Church below,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day.

CHORUS: Bear it -well, bear it well,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day.

2 My father fought the battle at last,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day;
And all his days on earth are past,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day.

3 And ere we walk the golden street,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day;
We 'll tell to all the saints we meet,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day.

4 Religion's like a blooming rose,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day;
It's none but those who feel that knows,
Bear your burden in the heat of the day.

Bear the Burden in the Heat of the Day- Robeson

CHORUS: I'm tryin' to bear Lord,
Bear me the world
I'm tryin' to bear Lord,
Bear the burden in the heat of the day

Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down
Bear the burden in the heat of the day
Sometimes my feet are heavenly bound.
Bear the burden in the heat of the day

CHORUS:

Some come cripple, some come lame
Bear the burden in the heat of the day
Some come walking in Jesus name
Bear the burden in the heat of the day

CHORUS:
