[From the 1976 Rounder recording- 0064. George was born in 1919 in Letcher Co., Ky. In Mountain Life & Work - Volume 48 - Page 112; 1972 , he says, "I started singing and playing practically back as far as I can remember It was in Jenkins, in Letcher County, Kentucky."
