Lord Beehan- Jane Hicks Gentry (NC) 1916 Sharp MS

Lord Beehan- Jane Hicks Gentry (NC) 1916 Sharp MS

[My title. From Bronson TTCB No. 103. from Sharp MSS., 3309/. This is the Hicks/Harmon version usually titled Young Behan/Beham. Unfortunately it seems Gentry could only remember the first two lines, otherwise Sharp surely would have written it down. It remains a mystery, since other family members knew the ballad.

Cf. Same Harmon 1926 , Nora Hicks 1940 recording Abrams (learned earlier); Rena Hicks; Roby Monroe Hicks (recording) and Buna Hicks.
