Lord Bacon appeared in "A Collection of Dancing Tunes, Marches, & Song Tunes" now in possession of Mrs. Austin Holden, Boston, Mass. It furthermore looks as if the collection was complete before Whittier Perkins claimed it as his property in 1790. The volume bears on its first page the following inscription: "Whittier Perkins's Book, 1790." The estimated date of completion is 1788 because of the newspaper clippings inside.
