"The Maid" and "The Hangman"- Long 1971

[This is a well-organized and straight forward presentation of most of the material available to Eleanor Long by 1970. Although Long organizes the texts in groups, she does not, for the most part, give complete texts. This is one of the weaknesses of the book that I've seen so far. There are a number of pre-1970 versions missing and several recordings; including the first recording, made in 1920.

I'm not sure when or if I will reproduce the book on my site. For now I will do several chapters.
