B. [The King's Garden] Mrs. R. P. Hill, Galena, Mo., June 4, 1934, contributes the following variant, which she learned years ago in Oklahoma City, Okla.

It rains, it rains, a mist of rain,
It rains all over Brown Street,
Till every little boy in town
Comes out to toss his ball,
Comes out to toss his ball.

At first he tossed his ball too high,
An' then he tossed it too low,
He tossed it into the King's garden,
Where no one was allowed to go,
Where no one was allowed to go.

The beautiful King's daughter she come out,
All dressed in the richest of lace,
An' you shall have your ball,
An' you shall have your ball
