Butcher's Boy- sung by Grant Rogers as recorded by Sandy Paton, in Walton, New York, in 1964.

In London City where I did dwell,
Was a butcher's boy I loved so well,
He courted me, my life away,
But with me then, well he would not stay.

There is a strange house in this town,
Where he goes up, and he sits right down,
He takes another gal on his knee,
Well he tells her things that he never tells me.

I have to grieve I'll tell you why,
Because she has more gold than I,
Her gold will melt and her silver fly,
Well in time of need she'll be as poor as I.
