John, He Baptized Jesus

'John, He Baptized Jesus.' Sung by Miss Jewell Robbins, Pekin, Montgomery
county, July 1922. The line "Little Chidren" etc., as printed in HI 644, is omitted
in the recording. The change of time as well as melody indicates a chorus not
evident in printed text. The placing of the words with very unusual accents
would suggest that, perhaps, this text was adapted to an older tune.
