I See You Come Again- Sung by Mary Gibson of Marion, N. Carolina on September 9, 1918. Sharp MS

I see you come again, kind sir,
Pray tell me it's so;
When I left you in yonders lane
I told you to come no more, no more,
I told you to come no more.

Kind miss, I have a very fine horse,
He paces with the tide;
If you'll consent for  to marry me ,
you may have the horse to ride.

Kind sir, I know your very fine horse,
In yonders barn he stands,
He knows his master will get drunk,
I'm afraid that he will learn.

Kind miss, I have a very fine house,
And also a very fine yard;
If you'll consent to marry me
You shall have it under your guard.

Kind sir, I know your very fine house,
And also very fine yard;
But who will stay with me at nights
When you are playing cards?

Kind sir, I know your very fine horse,
And also very fine yard;
But who will stay with me at nights,
When you are playing cards.

Kind miss, it's something never done,
I never thought was right;
If you will consent for to marry me
I'll stay with you one night.

O madam, I have a very fine field,
It's fifty acres square;
If you will consent to marry me
You may have it under your command.

Kind sir, I know you have a very fine field,
And also very fine fruit;
When you go in, I'll turn you out,
For you know that hog will root.

Kind miss, I see you're a very hard old jade
And very hard to please;
I hop some night when you get get chilled with cold
I hope to the God you'll freeze.
