 Fly around, my pretty little miss,
Fly around my daisy,
Fly around, my pretty little miss,
You almost run me crazy.

Higher up the cherry tree,
The riper grows the berries,
Sooner a young man courts a girl,
Sooner he will marry.

Sixteen pounds of meat a week
Whisky for to sell;
How can a pretty girl stay at home
And a rebel fare so well.[1]

First to hall
First to the door
My foot slipped and I turned back.
Must i go there any more?

Shady Grove, my little love
Shady Grove, my little love
I'm bound for Shady grove
